When teaching a plein air workshop, weather is everything.
The workshop started off in the rain, which forced us indoors on Friday afternoon when we met. It turned out to be a blessing in disguise; a great excuse to get comfortable with our easels, paints, and brushes. We worked on a few short excercises to get us ready for our big day out on Saturday.
We awoke to a mix of sun and clouds in the morning and spent most of the morning on a very secret location on Deer Isle, not far from Haystack. The afternoon was even more spectacular with a view that took our breath away, and a Maine day that you would want to bottle up to open again some time in March.
Overall, a great weekend and a great group of artists to spend beautiful days with!
