Highland House, 8" x 8", Oil on Panel, 2008

(Please click here to place your bid on ebay)

My first post in the New Year and my last painting from 2008!
All the best to each and every one of you for a fantastic 2009! Thank you for all your support, kind words, and interest in my work--I couldn't do it without you!

Near Highland Light on Cape Cod, stands this wonderful old bungalow. Unlike the neighboring lighthouse which was moved back from its original location, this house sits precariously close to the edge of the dunes, overlooking the Atlantic.

Yes -- Happy New Year - all! Hopefully with an art friendly govt in power we (in the US at least) can afford more to do what we love most and do best.. and I don't mean procrastinating. Great work Cooper - your subject matter and restrained palette continues to make your paintings valuable artistic achievements and a damn pleasure to look at. Keep 'em coming in '09!
