Cooper, your Portland area paintings would make a fantastic book. You really do capture the place!

(This one reminded me of a painting I did thirty-something years ago of the view from my Portland apartment window. I gave it to a friend who was moving to the south, to remind her of home.)

I'm so glad you've chosen to post your work here. It brings me inspiration and joy. Thank you!

Hey Cooper, you are really fired up for the new year! Great set of new paintings, wonderful sense of warmth and light you are getting. I'm really enjoying looking at them, appears you are really enjoying painting them too.

Hi Liz, Thanks for your kind note. I could spend a lot of time trying to capture the essence of Portland.

Thanks Dianne. I'm glad you see a sense of warmth and light in the latest work. As I'm writing, it's dark and snowing here in Maine. Send us a little warmth and light from down under!

Cooper, a very interesting perspective, lovely paint application and triangles to die for. I really like this one.

love all the angles on this one, and the upward point of view. really moves your eye around the painting very nicely.

Good composition Cooper. I love the details of the architecture. Reminds me of a Hopper for some reason.
Lots of movement.
