Bath Railroad Bridge, 4.5" x 14", Oil on Panel, 2008 SOLD
A terrific old railroad bridge stretching across the Kennebec River near Bath.

(We got about 12" of snow here in Maine this past Sunday, but our new puppy, Dozer says it's more like 9 or 10 inches.)

The lighting and your colors remind me of Hopper.

Great bridge, and great puppy! I may have named him Tank, lol.

I'm looking for one more big ship painting, since I missed my chance to buy one(booo) while you were painting them. I really liked the massive look you achieved.

Cheers,

Melissa

The darks against the pink sky make a stunning contrast. Very good!

This guy Dozer... friend of yours? He looks like a rascal. An adorable one.

Having recently done some bridge sketching, I can attest to how hard it can be to edit down the details while retaining the essence of the bridge structure. I wasn't terribly successful with it, you on the other hand have done a marvelous job!

Well done.

Hi Silvina--Dozer is a rascal. A monster and and an angel. He's so cute and then he bites your cheek with his razor sharp fangs and suddenly--not so cute.

Thanks Jason. Funny that you mentioned the word "essence" in your note--I really was focused on that through this piece. I tried not to get too bogged down in the details.
