Cooper .. thought this might be watercolor at first glance. The background trees have the effect you get with transparent watercolor glazes. And .. in addition .. the figures in the boat are believable and add interest.. I'm wondering if they're making the bisque..

Well, if they are making a bisque then you better go order it at either Norm's East End or The Porthole. Both are top notch!

This is a great painting. It so clearly defines foregroud, midground and background and the minute your eyes see that backlighting, bingo! Great job, you are on to something great here.

Thanks Nita! I always hesitate to make a painting where there is no "solid ground" in the foreground.
