The water swirling before the rocks is very well done. Really nice design. I think you can sign this one and frame it.

Yeah... Cooper... excellent contrast with the activity going on in the rocks and the peace of the still sea in the upper half. Masterful handling of the surf.. nicely done even!

Thanks Bill. I think up close it still feels a bit unfinished, but that's always a dangerous line I fear crossing.

Gee Cooper, I know what you mean about when is it finished? It's looking really fine. The rocks certainly are the base for the action of the water above.
Not ideal to be viewing on a computer screen, but is it possible the evenness of color in them is too similar? It wouldn't be necessary to get color crazy, but perhaps the farther away ones on the upper right could become slightly different/lighter warm color than foreground ones? or less strong in value? Somehow to push them back and offer a middle ground with the foreground>? Just an idea...
