Long September shadows stretch across the road down to the harbor in this scene from Monhegan. This particular stretch of road is as good as it gets on the island . Much of the road is in rough shape, but only used minimally anyhow as people tend to walk or ride bikes to get where they need to be. It is a great island for exploring because you can walk almost anywhere you'd like to go.

Warm cool warm cool down the lane. Cooper thanks for taking the eyes for a walk. I don't know if I'm off here but I get a dream reality thing going here... De Chirico, Paul Delvaux, Hopper.. some of my favorites. I get that sense from many of your house paintings ... and that elevates the work for me above the plethora of other "house" stuff out there.
Wow! Thanks William. Flattered.
